Cervical Disc Replacement using a Baguera Titanium Disc at C6 – C7

I had my C6-C7 disc replaced in July 2010 at 34 years old by Hussien El-Maghraby at the Coventry & Warwickshire University Hospital. He used a Baguera Disc and was kind enough to send me some images which allowed me to make this video. For those interested in exactly what the disc looks like, this is the video for you! Cervical Disc Replacement Surgery C6-C7 – MRI Scan, X-Rays of new disc, Photos of Scar

I had my C6-C7 disc replaced in July 2010 at 34 years old. After weeks of research and building myself up to the operation, I wanted answers to specific questions but never found them. I posted a video on here back in October 2010 showing photos similar to what is in this video and have had so many hits which really surprised me. I’ve also had several people personally contact me as they are having the same surgery and asked if I could answer some questions they were curious about. So I am hoping this one helps too as it is more about the time scale of the whole thing.

Cervical Disk Replacement Surgery C6 – C7 due to ruptured disk – Scar that is left

I had a disk at C6 – C7 replaced in July 2010 at Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry, UK. I did loads of research prior to my surgery and found very little relating to the wound and scar that would be left. So I made this showing progress from the day of surgery to 3 months after. I hope this helps someone with their research into this surgery. Mine went great and the pain in my shoulder and arm has now gone.
